Shelter founded by interfaith group has helped thousands
over two decades

Not too long ago, New York City and its churches sparred
over the legality of allowing the homeless to sleep on church
steps, which the churches wanted.
Well, here's another reason why New Jersey leads the way in
the metropolitan area. The Hoboken Shelter not only uses the
basement of St. John's Lutheran Church on Bloomfield Street,
it actually transforms the church nave into a dormitory every
