VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
Dinner
Seven Evenings a
Week:
Dinner
is served every evening at 7:30pm.
We feed approximately 80
to 100 people each night. There are several ways to help
with this evening meal.
1. Come and serve
6:00pm
to 8:00pm.
(The entrance is down a wheelchair accessible ramp on 3rd
Street.)
2. Donate food for 100 guests for dinner.
(You can come & cook it with your friends or deliver it
for us to serve.)
3. Donate money for the cost of dinner nightly
($300.00).
(You can drop-off or mail a check to JACLYN’s attn).
4. Donate frozen meats such as hams or turkeys or canned tuna
fish.
Lunch on
Fridays:
We serve lunch at 1:30pm
on Fridays
& offer showers & clothing to our unsheltered homeless.
We need
help sorting clothes for distribution,
serving
lunch,
and cleaning-up.
2 to 4 volunteers are welcome to come and help from
11:00am to 3:00pm, with the need mostly being from
12:30pm-2:30pm.
Residents’ Daily Sandwiches:

brown-bagged lunches are
given-out
to our shelter
residents every
day. We always appreciate the delivery of sandwiches
that groups thankfully take the time to make, wrap, &
deliver.

Workshops:
We offer creative,
recreational, and educational workshops in the evenings to
our guests. If you have any ideas for a workshop that you
would like to volunteer to lead, please email Theo Francis,

Tutoring / Mentoring:
We offer Tutoring & Mentoring for our guests.
We need people to help with teaching ESL, GED
preparation,
English, simple Math, Resume Writing, Job-Searching,
etc. We have the books (even the answers). If interested,

There are
additional
opportunities in fundraising/development
and other projects. Also,
we
